- Employee retention. Removing tedious work improves satisfaction and reduces turnover costs.
Establish Implementation and Ongoing Costs
Get hard quotes for software licensing, implementation services, and training. Include internal IT time and change management effort.
Then estimate annual operating costs: licensing, maintenance, vendor support, and occasional configuration updates.
Calculate Your Payback Period
Net Year 1 Benefit = (Labor savings + Error reduction + Secondary benefits) − (Implementation + Year 1 operating costs)
Payback Period (months) = (Total implementation cost) ÷ (Monthly benefit)
